YUGE Victory: DeSantis Is Destroying the Left on this Critical Issue

The left and their media have a clear strategy with cultural issues they feel they can influence and exploit. Pick an issue that stirs passion in people. Twist the facts of the debate by outright fabrication and misrepresentation if necessary. And target one person as the face of your campaign to demonize and destroy.

Such has been the case with Florida’s “Stop W.O.K.E. Act,” a bill that the left has done their best to label as the “Don’t Say Gay Bill.” That’s not what it’s called and that’s not what it’s about. They’ve lied about the bill, they’ve played on voters’ sympathies, and they’ve put their bullseye squarely on the forehead of Governor Ron DeSantis.

But according to a recent poll, Americans aren’t buying what they’re selling.

A poll conducted last week by Morning Consult/Poltico asked U.S. voters for their opinion on “Limiting lessons on sexual orientation and gender identity after third grade to ‘age appropriate’ discussions.”

The results showed that among all voters, 52% support the provision while only 33% oppose. That’s a 19% gap between the two, and the fact that only one-third of Americans have taken their bait shows just how badly the left has miscalculated.

A similar question yielded similar results. When asked if they support “Banning the teaching of sexual orientation and gender identity from kindergarten through third grade,” again voters rejected the leftist storyline, with 51% saying they support the initiative, with only 35% voicing opposition.

We should also keep in mind, this poll was conducted by Morning Consult and Politico, both of which lean heavily to the left. The actual sentiments of voters are probably even more supportive of the provisions than these results indicate.

These results are devastating for America’s left. Next to Donald Trump, there is no one on the right whom they loathe more than Ron DeSantis, and they’ve gone all-in on their opposition to DeSantis’ bill.

The usual suspects in Hollywood and on social media have been conducting a full-court press against the bill for weeks now, but DeSantis has blown through their efforts with flying colors, and sanity has prevailed.

If you haven’t read the actual bill for yourself, you can find it here. The words ‘gay’ or ‘homosexual’ are not even contained in the bill. Contrary to assertions by the left, the bill contains no provisions to harm children who may be confused about gender or sexuality.

And most importantly, the bill is clearly designed to protect children and preserve parental rights concerning their kids’ educations.

As we saw in November with the Virginia gubernatorial election, parents in our country are beginning to coalesce as a voting bloc.

The so-called ‘Mama Bears’ in Virginia led the charge against school boards looking to promote Critical Race Theory, and Governor Glenn Youngkin seized on that momentum and rode it to victory in a deep blue state.

And with these latest poll results on the Florida bill, it appears that the left’s attempts to indoctrinate our children with their own values, and thereby overriding those of parents, is being rejected widely.
