WATCH: Ted Cruz Gets So Furious about FBI Targeting of Patriotic Symbols He Takes Off His Boot

Is Ted Cruz on our team? The whole “January 6th was a terror attack” thing points to “no” and that he is only acting when he acts like he’s on the New Right or is something other than a Conservative, Inc. type of figure. HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean he can’t make good points, particularly about things that all factions of the non-RINO right can agree on.

One such point of agreement is that the Gadsden flag, Betsy Ross flag, and “Come and Take It” flag aren’t gateway drugs to domestic terrorism.

Well, guess what the FBI is claiming are symbols that its agents shool look for when identifying domestic terrorists…that’s right, those flags! Apparently waving a flag sewn for George Washington’s army makes you an “extremist” and potential “domestic terrorist”.

News on that came from Project Veritas, which cited the leaked document as saying (MVE, for reference, means “Militia Violent Extremism):

Of note, under the “Symbols” section, is a prominent citation of the Second Amendment, where it explains that “MVEs justify their existence with the Second Amendment, due to the mention of a ‘well regulated Militia,’ as well as the right to bear arms.”

Right below that, under the “Commonly Referenced Historical Imagery and Quotes” section, Revolutionary War images such as the Gadsden Flag and the Betsy Ross Flag are listed. Each flag displayed in the document comes with a brief description of what it means.

Under the “Common Phrases and References” section of the leaked document, Ashli Babbitt is cited as a person that MVEs consider to be a Martyr.

Noticeably absent are the symbols used by crazy people that have actually been committing acts of violence, such as the BLM fist, Antifa flag, or anarchist A. But that’s just par for the course from Christopher Wray’s woke FBI and Merrick Garland’s obviously leftist Justice Department.

In any case, Ted Cruz wasn’t having it during a recent hearing, getting so infuriated when questioning Christopher Wray that he took off his boot and slammed it on the table…which was pretty funny as a stunt. Watch it here:

As you can see and hear in the video, Cruz particularly hammered home the point about the “Come and Take It” flag (which is technically called the Gonzales Battle Flag), saying:

As a Texan, I was particularly struck by the Gonzales Battle Flag as indicative of being a violent extremist militia. Well, I will self-report right now that every day in the Senate I wear my boots that have the Gonzalez Battle Flag on the back.”

Here’s Wray’s response:

Turns out, all that really matters is that the bad orange man did bad orange things because he’s a bad orange man that said mean things about Hillary Clinton, so Wray and his perfectly coiffed hair need to strike against us “deplorables” by labeling our favorite symbols as warning signs of terrorism. Sadly, such is just what one expects from the modern FBI.
