Rudy Giuliani was just going about his business at a Staten Island supermarket, acting like a normal person, when he was assaulted by an employee of the supermarket, who aggressively and forcefully hit him in the back.
According to the New York Post, Giuliani had just left the restroom at the supermarket and was speaking to a throng of supporters when, all of the sudden, he was assaulted from behind.
Speaking on that, America’s Mayor indicated that, based on the words of the man who assaulted him, the assault occurred because of the recent Supreme Court Dobbs decision, which the employee was unhappy about and blamed Giuliani for. Commenting on the attack and reason for it, Giuliani said:
“All of a sudden, I feel this ‘Bam!’ on my back,” Giuliani said. “I don’t know if they helped me not fall down, but I just about fell down, but I didn’t.
“I feel this tremendous pain in my back, and I’m thinking, what the — I didn’t even know what it was. All of a sudden, I hear this guy say, ‘You’re a f–king scumbag,’ then he moves away so nobody can grab him.
“And he says, ‘You, you’re one of the people that’s gonna kill women. You’re gonna kill women. You and your f–king friend are gonna kill women.’ Then he starts yelling out all kinds of, just curses, and every once in a while, he puts in that woman thing.
“‘You guys think you’re saving babies, but you’re gonna kill women.’ ”
He added “The Supreme Court made a decision. You don’t go around attacking people because of it. I mean, go get it changed.”

BNN later commented on the post, adding:
According to law enforcement sources, the suspect, a 39-year-old Staten Island man, will be charged with second-degree assault on a person over the age of 65.
The man had no prior arrests.
*We have updated the story to reflect new information.
So at least the thug that assaulted Rudy will be charged despite the attack happening in soft on crime New York, a city far from being as great, safe, and tough on crime as it was when Rudy, “America’s Mayor”, was in charge.
Giuliani, after noting that the only reason he didn’t fall and crack his skull is that he’s in pretty good shape for being a 78-year-old, noted that he called the cops on the man because he felt a duty to live up to his own “broken windows” theory, saying:
“I say to myself, ‘You know something? I gotta get this guy arrested’. I talk about ‘broken windows’ theory all the time. You can’t let the little things go.
“I’m like, ‘I’m gonna get this guy arrested as an example that you can’t do this. And I said, also, in New York, we don’t prosecute people anymore And one of the reasons I brought crime down is I didn’t ignore stuff like this.”
