The Week in Review #2

Happy Sunday and welcome to “The Week in Review #2.” In this edition of “The Week in Review,” I will follow a similar format to last week and post summaries and links to my top three articles from the past week. Hopefully this will help those of you that don’t have time to read during the week to catch back up on what’s going on at!

In this edition of The Week in Review, you’ll read about how real socialism killed millions of people, my analysis of a great quote by Rand Paul on trusting the government, and what I think are the left’s gun control lies about rifles. Enjoy!

1. Real Socialism Killed Millions of People

To those of you that are better read than the majority of the population and don’t have the total lack of historical knowledge that seems to be prevalent among modern Westerners, it should be no surprise that real socialism killed millions of people in the 20th Century. It was and is an abhorrent ideology responsible for tens of millions of deaths and immense amounts of misery.

In my “Real Socialism Killed Millions of People” article, I describe both the deaths that have occurred as a result of socialism and why the socialist states that murdered millions of their own citizens were examples of “real socialism.” Socialism kills. Don’t let it happen here.

2. Rand Paul on Trusting the Government

I love this quote by Rand Paul on trusting the government because it perfectly exemplifies what the Founding Fathers thought our opinion of the government should be and what that opinion has become.

We were meant to have a healthy skepticism towards the government and view government power as a necessary evil rather than an end goal. Unfortunately, Republicans and Democrats alike have expanded the federal government and national debt so that expanding the government now seems like the end goal rather than something to be feared. That’s not healthy for our nation and it’s not what the Founders wanted, as you can see by reading The Federalist Papers or The Anti-Federalist Papers.

For those that don’t have time to read the full article, here’s the quote by Rand Paul on trusting the government:

Our Founders never intended for Americans to trust their government. Our entire Constitution was predicated on the notion that government was a necessary evil to be restrained and minimized as much as possible.

3. Gun Control Lies about Rifles

The gun control lobby has been lying for years about the number of deaths by “assault weapon” and other forms of death by firearm in America. They are trying to make gun-related homicide look like it is frequent rather than rare (it’s very rare, especially if suicide is excluded).

Why do they do that? Why do they spread gun control lies about rifles? To try to convince Americans to support unconstitutional gun control policies. Especially gun confiscation through unconstitutional red flag laws.

The left wants to take your guns. Their gun control lies about rifles show that.
