The Pregnant Potato: Donald Trump Jr. Hilariously Destroy’s CNN’s Brian Stelter

Were Twitter not around, I would probably have no idea who Brian Stelter is. I don’t watch CNN, have no intention of learning about the gang of liars, pedos, and Democrat hacks that compose the CNN staff, and don’t want to waste any precious moments watching the trash content of that failing network. That, I suspect, is the same as many of you; who without blue hair would watch CNN?

But, one of my favorite authors, writers, and Twitter personalities, Kurt Schlichter,  regularly makes fun of Brian on Twitter, calling him funny names like  “the Potato.” It’s childish (though, like many childish insults, quite obviously true), but funny. Plus, it’s a joke repeated enough that now Brian is a known quantity, unfortunately.

In any case, the anti-Brian Stelter tweets have been flying recently, with conservatives on Twitter trashing the poor excuse of a cable TV host. One of the most hilarious anti-Stelter tweets I’ve ever seen came from Don Jr., who utterly wrecking Stelter, saying:

“I believe we found the root cause of and model for the pregnant man emoji. You guessed it folks CNN’s Brian Stelter.”

Normally I don’t laugh out loud when reading tweets; there’s so much good content out there that I guess I’m desensitized to the humor. But this one made me choke on my coffee.

Between the photoshop of the pregnant man emoji, an absurd addition to the emoji alphabet that Apple is adding to iMessage with the new iOS update, the relevance of it given that update, and the fact that Brian Stelter is fat enough that the photoshop might as well be real, I just had to laugh.

Others on Twitter couldn’t keep the laughter in either, with this commented gif summing up how I think many of us feel about it:

Fortunately for us but unfortunately for the pregnant potato, Don Jr. wasn’t done with thrashing Stelter. He circled back a few days later, this time being more serious, and brought up highly relevant questions about the relationship between Stelter and Zucker, saying:

It’s well known that@brianstelter& Zucker are close friends. It’s also well known that Stelter used his platform at CNN to whitewash the Cuomo scandal for months.

Are we really supposed to believe he didn’t know about the affair?

What did Stelter know & when did he know it???

That tweet is in reference to CNN’s former CEO Jeff Zucker recently stepping down from his position, citing an affair he was having as the reason. In his words, released in a widely-circulated statement:

As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo’s tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years. I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years. I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn’t. I was wrong. As a result, I am resigning today.

Don Jr. brings up a good point- what does the pregnant potato know? Perhaps we should find out.
