The Democrats and Qasem Soleimani: Why Does the Left Now Love Him?

My Take on the Collusion between The Democrats and Qasem Soleimani

In more ways than one, it’s increasingly obvious that the Democratic Party has changed. They used to love and support America, even if they disagreed with its actions at times. JFK, a Democrat, was even the one who said: “ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” Now, however, that’s no longer the case. Instead, they’re the party of socialist-like welfare handouts, absurd social justice theories, and working with America’s enemies. This latest news firestorm, which pitted the Democrats and Qasem Soleimani against the Republicans and Donald Trump, was just the latest example of that.

This article isn’t about whether or not Trump should have killed Qasem Soleimani. Personally, I think it was a bad idea to get further involved and mired down in a region that has lost its strategic importance to us as we’ve grown energy self-sufficient. Hopefully, we won’t get any more drawn into The Great War for Civilization than we already are.

In any case, the most disturbing news is that the Democrats and Qasem Soleimani seem to be on the same side! It was impossible to turn on the news without seeing some ludicrous situation where a Democrat was praising Soleimani and attacking America for killing him! That’s absurd and dangerous; it’s a sign of The Great Degeneration that Niall Ferguson wrote about, we certainly no longer have a common culture or ability to get along.

So, all over the news, there were videos of people like Colin Kaepernick ranting about how awful America is for killing Qasem Soleimani. Of course, that’s the same Colin Kaepernick who attacked US cops and demanded corporate virtue signaling from Nike when he forced them (somehow) to drop the Betsy Ross sneaker. Law and order and American patriotism might be evil to him, but for some reason Iran and it’s many crimes against humanity aren’t. I guess you could just say Kaepernick is always on the side of criminals, even war criminals as odious as Qasem Soleimani.

It’s depressing that the Democrats and Qasem Soleimani are on the same side. As a country, we need a firm and realistic view of both what Iran wants and the limits of its influence. But, with people like Kaepernick muddying the water and confusing the populace, that’s unlikely.

Instead, it appears as if the killing of a terrorist will somehow turn into a partisan issue not because some deem his assassination unwise or irresponsible, but because Democrats don’t like that we killed a Muslim because of some ridiculous ideas they have about not angering the Muslims. That’s what the collusion is between the Democrats and Qasem Soleimani, why they refuse to remember 9/11, and is part of what Diana West discusses in American Betrayal.

Conclusion

As I said in my review of it, the lesson of 1453: The Holy War for Constantinople is that the West needs to be united against the “religion of peace.”

The scourge of Islam has been causing problems for over a thousand years now, yet for some reason, we won’t wake up and smell the roses. Rather, the Venetians sold them the weapons later used to attack Venice (and the rest of Christendom) and later John Kerry signed onto the Iran Deal, which weakened America and strengthened Iran. We need to unite against the threat, not assist it. To do so, we need to expose such odious things as the collusion between the Democrats and Qasem Soleimani.

Whatever your view of America, it should be self-evident that Qasem Soleimani was a noxious human being. He is responsible for thousands and thousands of deaths, misery and suffering across the region, and the survival of evil regimes like the one in Syria.

Now, it’s fair to say we shouldn’t have killed him because the US should end the interventionist era and stay unentangled from foreign affairs.

But, that’s different from denying that he deserved to die, which he certainly did. Unfortunately, too many Democrats think he didn’t deserve to. That’s a problem for America; we can’t have situations like this one where the Democrats and Qasem Soleimani are on the same side.

So what’s the solution? We need to win the battle for America’s soul so that no terrorist-supporters can become political representatives. And once we do that, we need to demand that the government respect our wishes. With that will come unity and the avoidance of divisive issues like this one.
