Socialists Disregard the Facts

My Take on If Socialists Disregard the Facts:

We all know that socialism always fails and that socialism kills. Or, at least all conservatives know that. Socialists disregard the facts, so they have no idea what the problems with socialism are.

Socialism is a failed ideology that is responsible for the murder of millions. Deaths from socialism in the 20th Century might have totaled over 100 million. Of course, there’s no way to know for sure because in addition to being murderous hellholes, socialist regimes also tend to be withdrawn and authoritarian.

So we have no idea of knowing what the exact number of deaths from socialism are. But, even we did, it’s not like it would matter. Modern socialists don’t understand socialism. They especially don’t understand its vices. There’s no reason to think that they would be swayed away from that ideology of evil and envy just because we could tell them how many deaths its responsible for. Normal people would be swayed why that argument. For example, few Nazis exist today because everyone recognizes the abhorrence of that ideology.

But no, socialists don’t care about that. They don’t care about the misery that their chosen ideology is responsible for. What they care about is the imaginary benefits of what they think “real communism” are. Not the death toll of socialism or the fact that communist utopias can’t exist. They forget about those things because socialists disregard the facts if the facts don’t suit them.

Like many other aspects of the modern left, it would be funny if it weren’t so sad. The fact that socialists disregard the facts about socialism and just don’t care that it killed millions is highly distressing, but it would be funny under different circumstances. If only they would embrace a reasonable ideology rather than a murderous one.
