The Democrats and the media have Alabama Congressman Mo Brooks in their sights over comments he made on January 6th at the Trump Rally and recently while speaking at CPAC in Dallas, Tx.
He has sounded the alarm over how distressed he feels regarding America’s future in the hands of Democrat Socialists. Now, Brooks is facing both censorship and a legal suit brought by House Democrats for telling fellow conservatives at the Jan. 6th, Stop the Steal rally in DC the following:
“Today is the day American patriots start taking down names and kicking ass. I never have felt such fear for the future of our country because dictatorial socialists want to cancel America.”
On July 9th, 2021, Brooks spoke to a large crowd at CPAC:
“Now our choice is simple. We can surrender and submit or we can fight back as our ancestors have done.”
Let us look at some of these “inciting an Insurrection” phrases the left are aghast about:
- “with our votes.”
- “I will on the floor of the House of Representatives.”
- “The 2020 election is behind us. Today is a time of choosing, and tomorrow is a time for fighting.”
- “Are you willing to do what it takes to fight for America?” He asked the crowd — referring, in context, to the next elections wearing a fire Pelosi baseball cap.
The cherry-picking of words without the context that these words are part of political speeches is now a high art form of propaganda for the left and the complicit media. Brooks accurately references our Founding Fathers, Revolutionaries, and subsequent critical moments in our American History. The use of the word fight is in a political context and arena. “Taking down names and kicking ass” is clearly about holding Republican politicians accountable and, if need be – set about to primary and replace them.
Reminding American voters that their right to redress their government stems from the sacrifices their ancestors made is not a call for an insurrection – it is a history lesson.
It is in that context he asks if Conservatives have the will to defend their freedoms now. One could disingenuously choose to assert Brooks statements were spoken at the end of the wire once all legal and peaceful means were employed and exhausted as some call to arms. Of Course, that would not be the truth. And, as an aside, any notion that Americans may once again be called upon to defend their freedoms against a tyrannical government is some radical concept, I assure you it is not.
“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
We will circle back to Mo in a second.
I hold the opinion that what Americans see unfolding before them is a political climate to drive division and increase racial tensions. This is the hallmark of Cultural Marxism and socialism is the Trojan Horse.
We all witnessed the BLM/Antifa protests starting back in May 2020 that first sparked in Minneapolis after 46-year-old George Floyd was killed during an arrest involving officer Derek Chauvin. These “protests” continued throughout the Summer and into 2021, and continue. These “protests” more accurately described are riots that involve violence, looting, and destruction of property both personal and commercial. People, many of whom are law enforcement, have been injured and some have died from the chaos and mayhem. Lawful protests do not include setting fire to Federal Court Houses, attacking police stations, ambushing law enforcement, autonomous zones, stealing property, or impeding commerce, traffic, and first responders.
We all find ourselves in a world where any condemnation of BLM/Antifa’s lawlessness or demands from some to bring the criminal elements within these high crime-ridden areas to justice invokes the simple one-liner, “systemic racism.”
The race card played politically shuts down all debate on causation and solutions for the issues prevalent in the inner-city black communities. Instead, “the white oppressor” and “systemic racism” is the only acceptable response given to justify the state of our inner cities, quality of life, as well as loss of life at the hands of other black Americans. BLM and Democrats chant ” defund the police” and proceed to empty out our prisons – how has that improved the life of an inner-city Black American, or any American?
White Americans are not stopping black Americans from bettering their lot in life, or their communities and the only political power keeping black Americans from progressing is elected Progressive Democrats and their policies. Each American regardless of skin color can improve their life with a strong work ethic and effort in a country that by law enshrines and defends equal opportunity for all. All Americans should reject Critical Race Theory for what it is on its face-anti -white racism.
So back to Mo.
I chose to highlight Congressman Brooks as an example of how Democrats and the media seem to get away with censoring and silencing any on the opposite side of the ideological dogma they uphold. They seek to infringe our free speech and not allow our expressions of dissent against a communist takeover of our country.
Yet, The left is allowed to hyper-express themselves amplified by the media and take to the streets and destroy property, cause injury, and sometimes take a life with no respect or boundaries for the rest of us.
But as soon as a man like Mo Brooks dares to step to a microphone and talk about protecting ourselves against the violent mob, against a socialist takeover, against infringing on our first and second amendments, and motivating us all to legally redress our government before the time arrives we no longer have that choice- it’s labeled an insurrection. Do they label Congresswoman Maxine Waters or Speaker of the House, Pelosi the same? Hardly.
The question we as Americans should be asking ourselves is when are we going to stop this march and take back our country? Our founding fathers rejected the tyranny of King George, and our Republic was founded as an antidote to tyranny. Our vote and our voice are our constitutional rights. Generations of our countrymen have fought tooth and nail to keep socialism and communism out of our country and defend our freedoms. I get what Congressman Brooks is feeling and expressing.
As an American Veteran, I must say I am disheartened, that America isn’t the same nation my Grandfather fought to defend. I am sick and tired of the BLM/Antifa riots, the division, the censorship of Conservatives, the propaganda news, and the apathy of other Americans who choose to deny what is happening to all of us. I believe this is an absolute socialist takeover we are experiencing in America and if successful none of us will be free.
Before we get past the point of no return and are left only to throw off a tyrannical government, can we not gather as a majority who share the essential value of liberty and lawfully show our presence and resolve to seek all redress to defend our freedoms?
