“KARMA” – Democrat Who Voted To Defund The Police Gets Carjacked And Robbed At Gunpoint In Broad Daylight

One thing liberals should have learned in 2021 is to not defund the police, or even attempt to.

It caused a spike in crime, in cities like LA and Minneapolis, by letting the criminal elements know that their government officials are in denial of their activities and thus were working to remove the police from the city streets.

In a perfect example, a U.S. Congresswoman from Pennsylvania who voted for a “defund the police” bill, was the victim of an armed carjacking incident in Philadelphia.

Police say Mary Gay Scanlon was carjacked at about 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday after attending a tour with other members of Congress.

Scanlon was walking to her vehicle when two armed men approached her and demanded the keys to her blue 2017 Acura MDX. The robbers also made off with her personal cell phone, her government cell phone, her purse, and her identification.

Scanlon’s office released a brief statement.

“The Congresswoman was physically unharmed. She thanks the Philadelphia Police Department for their swift response, and appreciates the efforts of both the Sergeant at Arms in D.C. and her local police department for coordinating with Philly PD to ensure her continued safety.”

According to Fox News, Scanlon was one of the co-sponsors of legislation meant to make it easier for state and local governments to replace police officers and defund the police by employing mental health specialists in their stead.

This and other recent events are in direct conflict with the city’s District Attorney Larry Krasner who has denied that there was a crisis of crime taking place.

“We don’t have a crisis of lawlessness,” said Krasner, “we don’t have a crisis of crime, we don’t have a crisis of violence.”

He later apologized for the comments after receiving criticism from both sides of the aisle.

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney also release a statement about the carjacking incident.

“It’s disheartening, and quite frankly infuriating, that criminals feel emboldened to commit such a reckless crime in the middle of the day in what should be a place of tranquility and peace-one of Philadelphia’s beautiful parks,” said Kenney. “My thoughts are with her during what I’m sure is a traumatic time.

Here’s a local news story about the incident:

Let’s see if the far-left politicians stop advancing the BLM agenda and get tough on crime again in 2022. One way will know for sure, is if they choose to properly fund and support the men and women in blue once more.

If not, we might see more of them on the nightly news, following the crime they could have stopped, affecting their lives too.
