NOTE: as the title implies, this is an opinion article. Remember that when reading and recognize that there are shortcomings with the 2000 Mules data cited, as reported in Reuters).
Some may think that the battle for the soul of America happened with the inauguration of Joe Biden. But they would be wrong. In fact, it wasn’t even the heresy of Obama. In fact, the fight for the soul of America began during the 1960s, that time when communist revolutionaries declared war on America. And that revolution is coming to its fruition right now. Right now is the time for all Americans to pick a side. You are either for or against America.
On the left, we have socialists who call themselves progressives. In fact, they are really Marxist-Leninists in the image of Josef Stalin. They seek a Communist dictatorship that emulates the horrors of Stalin. They have actually come out as socialist, but are hiding behind that word which is a euphemism for communism. They know what they mean but hope that we do not.
If they gain full control, their government would include re-education camps, gulag, and firing squads. These are not my words, but the words of Bernie activists who since Bernie sold out to the Clintons have become the core of BLM, Antifa, and the Democrat party. It would take such Draconian measures to control those who do not agree with them. Stalin and Mao proved this.
To get a majority to go along with their dictatorship, free speech will be outlawed, as will be the God-given right to keep and bear arms. In fact, there will be absolutely no Constitutional protections granted to the people, as all will be reserved by the state. You see, that is what the progressives want to progress to, from freedom to enslavement to the government.
What a Democrat government will look like
What that might look like isn’t too far removed from what is happening all around us right now. We have political prisoners that have been locked up for over a year, many in isolation, since January 6, 2021. Many of them on nothing more than misdemeanor charges. Even though the Constitution forbids “cruel and unusual ” punishment, those who protested against a stolen election are being treated like dogs.
The treatment of those who opposed Joe Biden being approved by Congress barely scrapes the surface of the powers that the left seeks over the rest of us, it is only a peek into what their government will look like.
We don’t have to go too far to see what government control looks like when you have no Constitutional protections. Just look to the north and see exactly how citizens who oppose their government are treated. Canada, under Justin Trudeau, has shown the ugly side of government that does not serve its people. The horrid treatment of trucker protesters who opposed Trudeau’s mask and covid restrictions shows just how fast government can turn on its subjects.
In Canada, those who live there are not citizens, they are subjects of their government. Subject to whatever whim that government wishes to impose. Like gun confiscation. Bill Blair, Canadian minister of emergency preparedness, said Canada is very different from the United States.
“In Canada, gun ownership is a privilege, not a right,” Blair said. “This is a principal that differentiates ourselves from many other countries in the world, notably our colleagues and friends to the south.”
According to CBN News, “Canada has announced that the private ownership of pistols in Canada are now forbidden.” They are also confiscating every rifle that shoots more than five rounds of ammunition. It is a mandatory buy-back. But if you don’t turn in your pistols or semiautomatic rifles, the police will come and get them and arrest you to boot!”
Another “liberal democracy,” Australia, has gone even further, actually setting up concentration camps for those who refuse to follow their Covid-19 rules. The thing is, the Australian government that installed these Draconian rules was a “conservative” government. Proving, as Townhall said, “this is what happens when you don’t have a Bill-of-Rights.”
Only in America can people really be free
This brings us right back to our unique form of government. Our founding fathers knew how tyrannical governments are. They lived under the tyranny of the British government. It is why they crafted our government giving the power to the people, not to politicians. I know that we like to blame King George III for all our problems then; however, most of the most tyrannical punishments, collectively termed the Intolerable Acts, against the Colonies were brought through England’s parliament.
A parliament that America’s had no vote in electing. That form of tyranny brought the saying, “no taxation without representation.” The combination of events led to a confrontation at Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts, over the private possession of weapons of war. The assault rifle and ammunition of the day.
By then, our forefathers knew that they could no longer live under the tyranny of a government that , at its whim, can control every aspect of our everyday lives. And after declaring our independence from Great Britain, the fight was on. A fight that no one in the world thought we could win.
But win we did, and those forefathers had the common sense to form a government that gave the final power to the people, not to the government. We the People would no longer be subjects of the government, but rather citizens, equal, or superior to the government. To ensure that the government never overreached, the Constitution was immediately amended with a Bill of Rights that could never be taken away by the government.
Our Constitution is under attack by Democrats
Yet today those rights have been all but nullified by the Democrats in power. Joe Biden has given us a Ministry of Truth, that dictates what is allowable to say, eliminating our First Amendment right of free speech. As mentioned before, the treatment of protesters as political prisoners from January 6 violates the Cruel and Unusual Clause of the Eighth Amendment, while the right to free speech is under the largest attack in our history. Every aspect of the First Amendment is under attack. Religion, speech, press, assembly, and petitioning the government for redress have all been trashed by this Biden and Democrat-controlled government.
Biden’s Congress is right now crafting Draconian laws against the right to keep and bear arms in the Second Amendment; however, there are so many laws already that violate the Constitution that these new laws won’t be as meaningful as they could have been.
The Second Amendment protects all other amendments as well as the Constitution itself. Democrats know this and that is why they want to remove it altogether. Speaking of removing an Amendment, the Fourth is already history. The DOJ, FBI, DIA, CIA, and any number of other government agencies are already collecting all the information about you through unlawful data collection from your phone and the internet.
The FBI, through the DOJ, has begun terrorist investigations on hundreds of citizens who have spoken up against school boards that are teaching CRT and LGBTQ to our young children. Further destroying the Fourth Amendment. The Fifth Amendment has been nullified by this government by not allowing due process to those January 6 protesters in jail even today.
President Trump was denied his due process with two hasty impeachment trials, and even though they were kangaroo courts, he was not convicted. That has not been the case with everyone under this government. So much so, that good people are refusing to speak up about the tyranny all around us. This is exactly what Democrats are trying to do, silence us.
The Sixth Amendment, granting a speedy trial, well, again look at those held without bail in the January 6 protests. No speedy trial for them. And the Ninth and Tenth Amendments have been nullified ever since Row v. Wade allowed abortion. While that travesty may be straightened out by this Supreme Court, Democrats are now trying to stack the court to stop them from enforcing any more of the Constitution.
America’s soul is the Constitution, and Democrats are destroying it before our very eyes. In November, there will be an election where we may be able to stop most of the abuses. But there is no guarantee it will be successful. After all, 2016 proved, beyond a doubt, that Democrats know how to stuff ballot boxes to ensure that they win. Just watch the movie “2,000 Mules” for all the proof you need.
Now is the time to speak up for America
The time has come to speak truth to power. Now we must begin the process of creating our own Sons and Daughters of Liberty, before it is too late. We who believe in America must band together to have our voices heard, not to wait for the results of the 2022 election.
Because if we do not speak up now, it may be too late, just ask German Lutheran pastor, Martin Niemöller (1892–1984). After World War II he said how it was possible that the Nazi atrocities happened in a poem:
“First they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists and I did not speak out because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out for me”
Biden and Democrats are trying to divide us the same way Hitler did. It is time to speak out before they come for you, because they are coming for all of us.
