Recently The New York Times (NYT) produced a ridiculous, absurdly silly article by its editorial board called, “Every Day Is Jan. 6 Now.” The editorial board is a group of opinion journalists whose views, as they say, are informed by expertise, research, debate, and certain longstanding values.
The main values of the NYT have been proven so wrong almost daily. See here, here, here, here, here, and here just to name a few – doing a simple Google search. Why anyone would take them seriously is amazing in and of itself.
The NYT proclaims, “We should stop underestimating the threat facing the country. Countless times over the past six years, up to and including the events of January 6, Mr. Trump and his allies openly projected their intent to do something outrageous or illegal or destructive. … we might hope to salvage a democracy that is in grave danger.” Ooo … now that sounds ominous.
You can click their article link and fight your way through their paywall, but to save you some time, the article is the typical vomit of Democrat talking points with mostly circular links to their own articles as proof of their assertions.
One of my favorite citations is from a team member of the now-disgraced Lincoln Project Trump hater Bill Kristol – with a Tweet below gaslighting people to think Trump supporters are ready to take over the country with guns.
“‘When can we use the guns?’ The question hung in the air just long enough for some in the crowd to begin cheering. ‘How many elections are they gonna steal before we kill these people?’…This man, and others like him, are hoping for a signal.” https://t.co/PV58WCGqUu

Stand back a bit from all the news stories and mainstream media hype concerning January 6th and see if it makes any common sense to be true – let’s focus on the ridiculous absurdity and the silly.
The ridiculous – MAGA supporters stormed the Capitol! Today there are about 700 people charged, most with misdemeanors for trespassing. Of those, 75 are accused of using a deadly or dangerous weapon against officers, like chemical irritants, flagpoles, and even a tomahawk axe.
Some 170 have pleaded guilty to “get out of jail,” where 85% of them pleaded guilty for nonviolent misdemeanor crimes.
Inside reports from Newsweek said that about 120,000 were at the January 6 event. However, when you include all the events of the day in all locations, some have estimated the number much higher.
The official numbers are normally never reported. The January 6 event caused $1.5 million in damage to Capitol. Considering the cost of real estate in the DC area, this is not a lot, though regrettable.
The point here is that the number of people involved in the January 6 riot events was less than 1% of the total number of protesters. Given that there were an unknown number of infiltrators and provocateurs as well, to extrapolate the people rioting and to then blame the 99% of the rest who were largely peaceful protestors is ridiculous.
The absurd – The absurdity of Joe Biden and his Democrat mainstream media minions has hit new low levels. In fact, a rather insulting absurdity.
Along with the President, Vice President Kamala Harris compares the events of January 6 to Peal Harbor and 9/11. It is highly insulting to the men and women who died from actual war and terrorist attacks to be compared in this way. This one video below alone should tell you that the whole January 6 gaslighting is simply totally absurd.
The silly – If Trump was masterminding an insurrection, why would he send the bare-chested horned man with the fur bear coat – Jacob Chansley? President Trump is in charge of the National Guard in DC as well as the mighty American military. If he really wanted to take over the country, Trump would have started there.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi was fearful Trump would launch nuclear weapons in his final days in the White House, according to a book, by Washington Post journalists Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker entitled, “I Alone Can Fix It.”
This is a reference that Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, would step in if Trump would launch nukes. And just who would Trump nuke? Nancy Pelosi’s office? Trump responded to the excerpts from the book by saying that Pelosi is a “nut job.” Yes, this is silly.
See below Greg Gutfeld comically take down the January 6 narrative in – “You’d Be a Sucker to Fall For This.”
Getting back to the NYT gaslighting editorial article – what of this “Every Day Is Jan. 6 Now?” The whole twist of the article is that folks that seek election integrity in our Republic are engaging in an attack on “democracy.” The NYT objects that many Republican state legislators seek election integrity laws – which is their constitutional duty to do so.
The NYT states, “The Capitol riot continues in statehouses across the country, in a bloodless, legalized form that no police officer can arrest and that no prosecutor can try in court.” This is more NYT nonsense.
Perhaps the NYT will not be happy until all Republicans and conservatives who do not agree with them should be labeled domestic terrorists and locked up in jail. This is “Banana Republic” speak. This used to be a joke, but not anymore.
What has happened to journalism in America and the “Fourth Estate?” Journalists used to speak truth to power. Now the power tells them what to speak.
Nothing will destroy “democracy” more than NYT gaslighting.
It should be noted, that nothing in this article is to say for those who have violated the law, regardless of their political persuasion, should pay the appropriate price. Most conservatives have said this from day one of the January 6 events.
But no, there was no terrorist attack or insurrection on January 6, 2021. It is ridiculous, absurd silliness to say so. Don’t let them gaslight you.
