I thought it would be a great idea to post a list of my top 5 favorite newsletters. They span everything from the political to the financial, and are great ways to stay up to date on what’s going on in the world. I would highly recommend that you subscribe to them (they’re all free) and subscribe to my site! Enjoy!
Newsletter 1: The Morning Brew
The Morning Brew is a great newsletter that mostly covers stocks. Each morning, when sent out it contains a number of helpful paragraphs about both individual stocks and the stock market as a whole. If you are interested in investing, then The Morning Brew is the newsletter for you. I cannot recommend it highly enough, every morning I read it at the gym and get great advice about markets, stocks and companies.
Newsletter 2: The Morning Brew Emerging Tech Newsletter
Despite being made by the same organization that sends out the Morning Brew, The Morning Brew Emerging Tech Newsletter is not about stocks. Although some publicly traded companies are mentioned in it, it is really more about new technologies. Whether those are huge innovations or just gradual shifts in previously groundbreaking products, this newsletter covers them in an interesting and helpful way. It is a great way to stay up to date on new technologies that are being developed or have already been developed.
Newsletter 3: CNN Business Before the Bell
CNN Business Before the Bell is another great investing newsletter. Despite being similar in theory to the Morning Brew, I subscribe to both. While the Morning Brew is usually more focused on individual companies, CNN Business before the Bell is more focused on macro-economic trends and developments. Additionally, it is not just focused on American economic trends, so it is a good way to understand how the world economy is doing. Finally, it is free of CNN’s usual bias. Because I am a conservative, I am usually not a huge CNN fan. However, this newsletter avoids politics almost entirely and instead focuses only on economic trends. And it reports on those trends in a non-biased way; it only reports the facts. I suggest you subscribe to it.
Newsletter 4: The Daily Stoic
The Daily Stoic is not only one of my favorite newsletters, it is also a great way to understand the philosophy of Marcus Aurelius: stoicism. As Marcus Aurelius points out in Meditations, stoicism is the right way to live life. If makes you happier and more secure, and has the added benefit of providing a great way to stop outside influences from affecting you too much. In addition to quotes from Marcus Aurelius and Meditations, The Daily Stoic also provides quotes from great Stoic thinkers like Epictetus. It is a great way to start the morning on a positive note and feel better because of that. The short, practical advice provided in it is great and definitely worth reading.
Newsletter 5: Axios AM
Axios AM is the only political newsletter included in the list of my favorite newsletters. It is a great way to stay up with what is happening politically in America. It contains 10 short stories that help show what is happening in the Trump Administration, Congress, the Democratic primary, and state and local politics. Although it is from a slightly left point of view, it is still very interesting and helpful. If you are interested in American politics, you should definitely subscribe to it.
