As people around the world start to wake up to the tyranny of the medical establishment, they’re getting angrier and angrier about what is being foisted upon them by a collection of tyrants and incompetent bureaucrats.
Even some people whose careers would indicate that they’d be in favor of Democrat policies like the jab mandate are fighting back, articulating why liberty is more important than whatever Fauci or those of his ilk demand.
One such person is NBA star Shaquille O’Neal, who during a conversation on his podcast with a CBS reporter, stood up proudly for his beliefs and defended liberty, definitively saying that no one should be forced to take the jab.
Shaq comes out against vaccine mandates on his podcast. I have gained so much respect for many different people in public positions who have had the courage to stand up for individual freedoms despite all the pressures against doing so. pic.twitter.com/Uig6Rz7q1D

As you can hear in the video, Shaq says “Look, I encourage everybody to be safe and take care of your family, I do. But there’s still some people that don’t wanna take it. And you shouldn’t have to be forced to take something you don’t want.“
The CBS reporter, Turner, responds, saying “I don’t think people are being forced to take… Well, there are some… There are, I mean, listen we have a mandate at CBS.”
As you can see, he tried hiding behind the “no one is being forced” line before thinking on it for a second and realizing that, in fact, people are being forced to take a medicine they don’t want.
Shaq noted that a business mandate does mean that it’s forced, saying “That’s forced. […] It is forced. Because if the man don’t take it, the man gonna get fired.”
A Churchillian speech it is not, but it speaks the truth all the same.
What is being debated here isn’t what the leftists claim. The issue that everyone from the truckers in Canada to Shaquille O’Neill the NBA star turned businessman and podcaster is fighting with the left and medical establishment over isn’t the efficacy of the vaccine nor its safety.
No, it could be the safest and best-working thing in the world, and does appear to be reasonably safe and efficacious in terms of stopping deaths from resulting, but that wouldn’t matter in the least.
What matters here is the issue of individual liberty. If one doesn’t want to take some shot that a fli[-flopping bureaucrat on TV is now rabidly demanding that they must take, they shouldn’t have to take it. Even if it was some superpower serum, why should they have to? We all have a right to individual autonomy, to choose for ourselves whether we want to take something or not.
America, and indeed the West generally, is facing a major shift in public opinion away from the Team Fauci side and toward the side that is now, bizarrely, represented by people as different as Rand Paul and Shaq, Donald Trump and Joe Rogan.
Individual liberty is at stake; people should have a right to choose what they want to do. Shaq realizes that, do you?
