At the risk of venting my (until now, unbeknownst) pent-up sexual energies and yearnings for Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and against my own wishes to react to such a flat-out dumb human being, her recent vacation to Florida highlights several glaring hypocrisies of both her specifically and the political left in general. Like it or not, exposing her as a fraud continues to be the only way to lessen her outsized and undeserved influence.
Before driving in, though, I will give credit where credit is due. In the entire theater of her reaction to the reactions, she approximated toward one truth in her commentary. Her physical appearance is, in fact, the only reason she has managed to overcome her abject imbecility. Beauty has privilege, and Ocasio-Cortez is blessed with certain pulchritude.
Were it not for her youth and somewhat pretty face and slender physique, there is no way she would win a seat in Congress. She certainly wouldn’t get as much camera time. Imagine: Would an old, bald, white guy expressing her exact same thoughts be given two seconds in front of the public? (On second thought, his name is Joe Biden and he is president. Bad analogy.)
So, while we mock Ocasio-Cortez for the very cringe sexual frustration angle she took, she has a point. She is so utterly stupid and clueless that the only reason people vote for her is that she’s somewhat attractive. I hope she knows it, too, and that it eats her up inside.
Now, as far as the hypocrisies, perhaps the most obvious and well noted one is the fact that she hails from the extremely locked-down state of New York and chose to vacation in the very free and open state of Florida.
If New York is so great, why not stay there? If Florida is so dangerous, why take the risk? Her actions speak to the fact that she is not concerned about Florida. She must not have had this stewardess on her inbound flight.
In addition to leaving her lockdown-destroyed district, Ocasio-Cortez likewise eschewed masks. This is not a small thing. In both New York and Washington, D.C. there are stringent mask mandates.
Moreover, those mask mandates come with vaccine passports. Neither is a place of sanity or freedom, and yet she has publicly endorsed that same scientific approach. How can it be then that she not only goes to Florida, but embraces the Floridian lifestyle of moving freely without showing papers and breathing freely without face diapers? Is she not worried about Covid in Florida? Is she just acting for theater in the north?
It can only be that she either believes masks are important or she doesn’t. Her vacation in Florida strongly suggests she doesn’t believe in their efficacy and also that she doesn’t fear Covid. It might be nice to message that to her constituents.
Of course, the larger reality is that all of the public health measures surrounding Covid are mere theater. Governor Ron DeSantis, when asked about her visit, pointed out the obvious:
“I mean, Congresspeople, mayors, governors, I mean, you name it,” he continued. “It’s interesting, though, the reception that some of these folks will get in Florida because I think a lot of Floridians say, ‘Wait a minute. You’re bashing us because we’re not doing your draconian policies and yet we’re the first place you want to flee to, to basically be able to enjoy life.’ And so I’m not surprised to see that continue to happen. I could tell you, there are probably about a half-dozen governors who had restrictions on their people and then were spotted at various points in Florida. Some of it’s been public; some of it’s not been public, but you know, people tell me these things and so these things are spotted.”
Lock-down maniac Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker sent his family there while he denounced the travel of his subordinate peasantry. Likewise for Michigan tyrant Gretchen Whitmer; she vacationed in Florida while denouncing even travel in-state to second homes and cabins for the wretched underclass. How and why do people vote for this?
Dan Bongino took the response a step further. It wasn’t just that she was visiting a free state, it was that she was visiting a state allegedly full of horrible groups and individuals.
“Why do you want to come down here? You say you hate us. We’re, you know, white nationalists, Nazis, fascists, racists, transphobic, homophobic …” Bongino continued. You say you hate us. We’re all backwards … we’re like a bunch of … rednecks. Every insult that you can throw at conservative America. Which is ridiculous and absurd you throw at us. So why do you want to be around us?”
Is he wrong?
And it isn’t just the actions of Ocasio-Cortez’s actions that are hypocritical. Her speech is equally shallow and lacking in self-awareness. After rightly being called out uniformly by conservative media outlets and social media accounts to the aforementioned hypocrisies of her Florida trip, the best she could muster – in addition to the deranged and onanistic ‘Republican sexual frustration’ line – was calling out Ron DeSantis for missing in action. Come again?
Here she was leaving behind every Covid restriction in favor of a vacation in Florida and she had the temerity to question where another public official was? Did she think that was a gotcha line? By her own logic she was missing in action. Again, it cannot be overstated how dumb this woman is.
The misfired shot at DeSantis only continued to backfire further when it was revealed that the governor was helping tend to his wife during her chemotherapy treatment. I am not aware of any apology from her or her team.
I have already dedicated too many words to Ocasio-Cortez, and probably used words she didn’t know existed or even understands, but one more remark needs to be made. In defense of her indefensible vacation, supporters are saying that this is just like the Ted Cruz trip to Mexico during the Texas freeze in early 2021. To be clear, they are nothing alike. Let me explain.
Basically, Ted Cruz never said people shouldn’t go somewhere during power outages. Furthermore, doesn’t a husband and father have a duty to keep his family safe? If there is no heat, he’d be derelict in not taking action. Plus, what’s he going to do if he stays – single handedly fix the broken wind-power grid? Should he blow harder on the turbines? Ted Cruz was under no obligation to stay. Even if he did, politicians just get in the way during their photo ops. I don’t need or want him in the middle of Texas. I just want linesmen.
Ocasio-Cortez, on the other hand, has repeatedly made the point that Covid is scary and government intervention that shreds the Constitution is necessary. On top of that, her duty should only be locking down and doing her part to end the virus.
Whereas Cruz essentially had a moral mandate to leave and do something, she faces the opposite. She can only do her duty by ceasing to leave her condo. Therefore, his travel wasn’t inconsistent with his messaging; hers was. So no, nothing about the Ted Cruz and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez situation is the same.
In any event, her notion that any attention paid to her must stem from our latent sexual desire must likewise be applied to her own comments. Why did she spend so much time and energy attacking Cruz for his across-the-border trip?
Gross.
