My Take on Why Guns are not the Problem:
Guns are not the problem. They aren’t responsible for gun violence. They aren’t responsible for broken families. Those are just lies told by the gun control lobby.
If you only listened to politicians and the pro-gun control lunatics, you would think that guns are responsible for all the violent evils in society. Mass shootings. Gang violence. Homicides. Suicide. But those things aren’t caused by guns. Or in other words, guns are not the problem.
So, if guns are not the problem, what is? Well, there are many problems in American society. Drugs. The war on drugs. A breakdown in familial bonds. A lack of figures to look up to. The glorification of violence. All of those are problems for America.
I don’t know a ton about the issue. In fact, I know very little about it. But I do know that guns are not the problem. All those previously mentioned issues are.
America has been hollowed out by decades of failed policies. Opioids have wrecked large portions of society, as described in Dreamland: The True Tale of America’s Opioid Epidemic. Joe Biden’s gun free zones have left our schools vulnerable, while our banks remain guarded. Those misplaced priorities of our materialistic society show just how morally corrupt our society has become. Finally, years of failed “Great Society” programs have left families destroyed and young men with no role models.
So with all those corrupting factors, is it really a surprise that mass shootings happen? No, of course not. They are an effect of the problems with our society. Guns are not the problem, a decayed and corrupted society is. That’s why the Anti-Federalists wanted to make sure there would be institutions to keep society virtuous.
Perhaps we should support those institutions rather than attacking guns. Especially because gun control is still unconstitutional.
