John Galt on Perseverance

The John Galt Quote about Perseverance:

“Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration, for the life you deserved but never have been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won. It exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours.” -John Galt on Perseverance

John Galt on perseverance

Analysis:

I choose this quote by John Galt on perseverance as my first post because of how important I think it is for the human spirit. Many individuals and nations go through terrible struggles. The key to persevering through those struggles is knowing that your end goal can always be reached. You simply have to work through everything that life throws at you. Yes, that is often incredibly frustrating and difficult. Life is hard and pushing through the struggles it throws at you is even harder. But, doing so is always worth it.

Your enemies might be evil. In fact, they likely will be, as they will be Marxists, socialists, and other forms of scum and villainy.

Your challenges might be almost overpowering. Everyone struggles with failure, and it hits some harder than others. Each successive step along the path to success might seem more difficult than the last as challenges and problems crop up that seem like they will prevent you from creating the world you want to live in.

But perseverance is the one thing that can always help with pushing through those struggles and in fighting back against your evil enemies. President Trump has to fight back against them every day, just as he has to deal with the challenges posed by Obama’s mismanagement of America and the problems created by anti-Trump leftists and RINOs that want to see him fail more than they want America to succeed. But does he ever give up or give in? No! He understands this quote by John Galt on perseverance and wants to build the world he desires.

As Ayn Rand writes, “the world you desired can be won.” You just have to go out there and win it. I think that advice is excellent because it applies to anyone and everyone that wants to make something of their life. Everyone has a great idea or an innovative concept. Americans are an innovative and productive lot; we all have ideas. But what separates great people and those that are highly successful from their unknown peers is that winners do not let “the hero in [their] soul[s] perish.” Instead, they keep fighting as struggling, as we are all told to do in this quote by John Galt on perseverance.

Be like them. Be like Rockefeller, Carnegie, or the Founding Fathers. Did those men ever give in or give up? No! They kept fighting to create the world they wanted.

So, learn from them. Use the values behind this great John Galt quote to conquer your ambitions! If you do so, then you can “conquer the world.” You can unleash your business ambitions. Or become a politician. Anything is possible if you refuse to give up or give in and instead internalize this quote by John Galt on perseverance and know that the world you desire can be won.

Ayn Rand would have preferred you become a titan of industry of course, but the US needs good representatives and leaders too. The main key is to recognize, as Friedrich Hayek did in his quote on liberty, that you have to use your freedom wisely and responsibly if you’re going to make the most of your life. Once you understand this quote, you can master the world. It will be yours. Just fight through the struggles you face!

Yes, of course, that’s easier said than done. It can be difficult to live a life of meaning. But as Socrates said, that level of difficulty doesn’t really matter because the key is to live life well, not just to live. Even if it’s difficult, doing so is well worth it, as this quote by John Galt on perseverance says.

The reason its worth it is because it is far better to continually live a life of virtue, striving to be the best you can possibly be, than to just settle down for a life you don’t want to live. When you are lying in your deathbed, would you not rather look back on a life of dreams pursued, even if doing so was difficult, than on a life of continually following the easiest possible route that delivered comfort but not true prosperity, or safety but no real freedom? I know that I certainly would.

All that is to say, read and internalize this quote by John Galt on perseverance. Know that Ayn Rand was right (which is as is to be expected), the world you desire can, in fact, be won. You just have to follow your dreams and work hard every day to make those dreams a reality.

So, don’t let your dreams eventually become mostly forgotten and nothing but a memory from when you used to be more motivated, as John Galt warns against in this terrific quote. Instead, fight to stay ahead and turn your dreams into a reality. It can be done; many have done so. Just looks at a list of company founders and successful entrepreneurs. All it takes is hard work and perseverance.
