“God is Real”: Chris Pratt’s Amazing 9 Rules for Life Shock MTV Audience [WATCH]

Back in June of 2018, patriotic, Christian actor Chris Pratt gave an amazing speech to his MTV audience, one in which he defended his faith and stunned the audience when he enunciated his 9 rules for life, rules that he directed toward young viewers of the program, saying:

I’m going to cut to the chase and I am going to speak to you, the next generation. I accept the responsibility as your elder. So, listen up.

Here they are:

No. 1: Breathe. If you don’t, you will suffocate.

No. 2: You have a soul. Be careful with it.

No. 3: Don’t be a turd. If you’re strong, be a protector, and if you’re smart, be a humble influencer. Strength and intelligence can be weapons. Do not wield them against the weak. That makes you a bully. Be bigger than that.

No. 4: When giving a dog medicine, put the medicine in a little hamburger and they won’t even know they’re eating medicine.

No. 5: Doesn’t matter what it is — earn it. A good deed, reach out to someone in pain, be of service. It feels good, and it’s good for your soul.

No. 6: God is real, God loves you, God wants the best for you. Believe that. I do.

No. 7: If you have to poop at a party, but you’re embarrassed, because you’re going to stink up the bathroom, just do what I do: lock the door, sit down, get all the pee out first. And then when all the pee’s done, poop, flush, boom. You minimize the amount of time the poop is touching the air, ’cause if you poop first, it takes you longer to pee and then you’re peeing on top of it, stirring up the poop particles that create a cloud and it goes out and everyone in the party will know that you pooped. Just trust me, it’s science.

No. 8: Learn to pray. It’s easy, and it’s so good for your soul.

No. 9: Nobody is perfect. People are gonna tell you you’re perfect just the way you are — you’re not. You are imperfect. You always will be. But, there is a powerful force that designed you that way. If you’re willing to accept that, you will have grace. And grace is a gift. And, like the freedom that we enjoy in this country, that grace was paid for with somebody else’s blood. Do not forget it. Don’t take it for granted.

Watch him here:

The rules are classic Chris Pratt. Some are funny and meant to be taken with a laugh rather than overly seriously, but others are important and contain a good bit of wisdom that’s well-worth listening to, even if said in a simple or funny way.

Yet better was the massive ovation he got. The audience was obviously a bit stunned by his willingness to say all that, particularly his “God exists” statement, but it was powerful to see so many people, at the end, stand up and cheer for him and the speech he gave.

Perhaps, even in modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah, there are a few that still understand morality and are willing to cheer those that verbalize it.

But best of all is that Pratt shared that wisdom with his young fans. Young Americans need to hear that God is real and having popular figures like Pratt share that fact is a great way of teaching them the truth about God. Good for him for taking such a courageous stand for the faith.
