Cuomo’s Guilty on Both Counts, But Focus on the Important Allegation
Here’s a thought experiment. If you were trying to weasel your way out of a significant allegation against you, an allegation that you did something really bad, what would you do? Perhaps make up something, or spread a rumor of your doing something, that was far less bad but also more salacious?
Maybe, if you were accused of, say, killing tens of thousands of seniors with your horrible policies, spread a rumor that you had a bit of a high sex drive and hit on too many people? Or, if you were a party boss and needed to distract the populace from accusations against one of your people, would you do the same. Now, I’m not saying Cuomo did that. But it’s an important thought experiment and illustrates just why we conservatives need to focus on the important allegation against Cuomo.

Right now, the leftists are laughing as they successfully distract us. At worst, on the #MeToo side, Cuomo is being accused of…wait for it…kissing someone and joking with a reporter after giving her a sausage. Plus he hit on a few women. That’s it. Totally politically correct? No. But a Harvey Weinstein he is not.
Unfortunately, conservatives have gotten distracted and are far too busy attacking Cuomo for being a bad but enthusiastic womanizer. At the end of the day, who cares if he’s hitting on people? Before 2000, that would have been fine in any office. Yet, because we fall for the media’s traps, we’re focusing on his supposed sexual misconduct. That’s a mistake. It’s not what is important.
What’s important is what Cuomo is being investigated for. His policies sent Covid-infected seniors back to nursing homes, where they then infected thousands of other residents. Thousands of seniors are dead because of Cuomo’s idiotic, evil policies.
Then, Cuomo ordered a coverup. Rather than take the blame, or even tell the populace what was going on and why New York’s death toll was so high, he ordered his team to falsify documents and hide what was going on.

Here’s what Breitbart reports happened in regard to the nursing homes:
“A report released last month by the Empire Center for Public Policy undermines claims by the New York State Department of Health that Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D-NY) controversial March 25 order requiring nursing homes in the state to admit coronavirus-positive residents had no impact on nursing home coronavirus death rates.
In that report, titled, “COVID-positive Admissions Were Correlated with Higher Death Rates in New York Nursing Homes,” the Albany, New York, based think tank concluded, “The admission of coronavirus-positive patients into New York nursing homes under March 25 guidance from the New York State Department of Health was associated with a statistically significant increase in resident deaths.””
Then, here’s what another Breitbart article reports happened in regard to the cover-up:
“Both the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that advisers to Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) intervened with officials of the New York State Department of Health in July and caused them to underreport the number of COVID-19 deaths in the state at that time by at least 2,800, and possibly more.
The primary purpose of this New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) report, as initially published July 6, 2020 using the significantly underreported COVID-19 nursing home death data, appears to have been to absolve Gov. Cuomo of responsibility for the dramatic increase in nursing home COVID-19 deaths that took place in the immediate aftermath of his March 25, 2020 order requiring nursing homes to accept COVID-19 positive residents.
But Thursday’s reports in the Journal and the Times serve to undermine the credibility of that absolution for Cuomo, since the underlying data underreported COVID-19 nursing home deaths by at least 40 percent, if not more, during the March 25 to May 8, 2020 time period when COVID-19 positive patients were admitted to nursing homes.”
So, Cuomo created policies that got seniors killed and then covered it up. That’s what we should be focused on. Not some inappropriate comment he made to a staffer. Those accusations are a distraction.
