Former DNI Ratcliffe is back in the news surrounding Hillary Clinton and the bombshell Durham dropped about her criminality, telling FNC host Mark Levin:
“What I saw, that I had never seen as a member of Congress, was we have all kinds of intelligence about fake Russia collusion. That Hillary Clinton had created or had a campaign plan to create fake Russian allegations to smear Donald Trump with things about Russia that weren’t true.”
In other words, he was one of the first to see what Clinton was up to with the Russia collusion tale and he sounded off on it, telling Levin what exactly was illegal about what Clinton had been doing, saying:
“What is illegal is that when you create a false narrative and then you take it to the FBI and the CIA and peddle it as real, hoping to authenticate it by opening an investigation, that’s all sorts of criminal activity.
It starts with lying to federal agents, for which Michael Sussmann and others have been charged, 18 US Code § 1001 counts, but it goes all the way up to conspiracy, possibly even to racketeering, to RICO charges.”
Though all that’s important, one of the more critical to remember moments came toward the end of his appearance, when Ratcliffe said his opinion at the time he discovered what Clinton was up to was “look this just isn’t right, this doesn’t add up, all sorts of people knew about this and didn’t do anything about it.”
People knew, yet they did nothing, so Trump was smeared and his presidency wrecked by Clinton.
That lines up with what Fox News reported about Ratcliffe and his meeting with Special Counsel John Durham to discuss what Clinton was up to and what charges could be brought against her. That outlet, reporting on the topic, said:
Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe met with Special Counsel John Durham on more than one occasion and told him there was evidence in intelligence to support the indictments of “multiple people” in his investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, sources told Fox News.
Fox News first reported on Durham’s latest filing, which alleged that lawyers from Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2016 had paid to “infiltrate” servers belonging to Trump Tower and later the White House, in order to establish an “inference” and “narrative” to bring to federal government agencies linking Donald Trump to Russia.
[…]But sources told Fox News this week that during his meetings with Durham, Ratcliffe, who served as a congressman and as the former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Texas, said he believed there was “enough evidence” in those materials that he provided to indict “multiple people.”
The sources pointed to one key piece of declassified intelligence, which Fox News first reported in October 2020, revealing that intelligence community officials within the CIA forwarded an investigative referral on Hillary Clinton purportedly approving “a plan concerning U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S. elections as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server.”
Let’s hope Durham and the source talking about what he told Durham are correct: Hillary needs to be held accountable for what she did to Trump and the nation, for the laws she broke and divides she amplified with false accusations of treason.
