With absolutely no Republican Party input, our modern-day Fascists — the U.S. Democrat Party — announced with great fanfare Tuesday they have “agreed” to a $3.5 trillion budget bill for Fiscal Year 2022, starting in October. Agreement implies bipartisanship, but Republicans haven’t even been consulted on this budget
Democrats will attempt to force the legislation through Congress by what is known as the “reconciliation process,” a method of going around the opposition and eliminating debate.
Because Democrats have 50 seats in the Senate — plus a Democrat vice president — reconciliation is a way to get a tax-and-spend bill to Biden’s desk even if all 50 Republicans oppose it.
Reconciliation is, essentially, a way for Congress to enact legislation on taxes, spending, and the debt limit with only a majority (currently, 50 votes assuming the vice president breaks a tie) in the Senate, avoiding the threat of a filibuster, which requires 60 votes to overcome.
While 11 mostly RINO (Republican In Name Only) GOP senators have voiced support for a so-called “bipartisan” infrastructure bill that Democrats intend as a companion bill, it is generally believed the Republican membership in the Senate will unanimously oppose this budget proposal.
That is why the Democrats seek to use reconciliation to force this budget through. If the filibuster comes into play, the legislation will die without even being debated on the Senate floor.
It is necessary, however, for the Senate Parliamentarian to review the reconciliation riders included in bills that come out of Senate committees. If the parliamentarian sees a problem with any part of reconciliation-designated legislation, he/she can strip those proposals out of the bill.
Democrats used the reconciliation process in February to pass, over Republican objections, the most recent CCP virus relief bill, but the parliamentarian removed their effort to include a mandatory $15-per-hour minimum wage measure in the legislation.
Why is this important?
The content in the proposed FY2022 budget is extremely socialist in nature, and even though it is greatly reduced from Bernie Sanders’ desired $6 trillion budget package, it nonetheless is radical in its expansion of the welfare state. Centrist Democrats, however, have indicated they will take a “wait-and-see” attitude.
Wednesday, many moderate Democrats expressed specific concerns that the bill includes a sweeping plan to fund expanded access to preschool and affordable child care, broader Medicare benefits, and programs aimed at combating poverty and climate change.
Democrats including Sens. Jon Tester (D-MT), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) said they were still reviewing details of the agreement. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) said he raised concerns about the package’s impact on inflation and its climate-change provisions during a lunch meeting meant to acquaint the Democrat Caucus with the details of the budget.
The bill is rumored to include broad tax credits for clean energy investments and liberal Democrats are pressing to end subsidies for fossil fuels.
“I’m concerned about maintaining the energy independence the United States of America has, and with that you cannot be moving towards eliminating fossil fuel production,” Manchin said in response to an email inquiry by America’s Conservative Voice. “I hope we can come to an agreement that they understand fossil fuels are going to have to play a large part.”
Manchin and other moderates also expressed the desire that Treasury be able to cover the full cost of the $3.5 trillion bill. Democrats on the Budget Committee said Tuesday night the package would be fully paid for with tax increases and other sources of revenue.
In reality, that is highly unlikely.
Since March of 2020, the federal government has approved or authorized insane amounts dedicated to so-called CCP virus relief, much of which remains unspent or unallocated. The total amount of administrative, congressional and Federal Reserve actions meant to alleviate the financial impact of the virus is $13.2 trillion.
No, you did not read that wrong. Federal monies allocated over the last 15 months to CCP virus relief total $13.2 trillion. Nearly half that is a $6.4 trillion dollar authorization from the Fed. No one oversaw that authorization, the Fed just decided to make it available, most of that at the behest of Joe Biden. Thus far, over half of those funds have been distributed with virtually no accountability
Additionally, Congress has passed, and both Trump and Biden have signed, bills totaling $5.9 trillion toward the same goal, the Biden administration also having redirected $900 billion of the last Trump budget to CCP virus relief. Nearly 75 percent of those funds have been distributed, mostly in the form of unemployment subsidies.
The national debt clock Wednesday hit $28.5 trillion, increasing at the rate of $1 million every 13 seconds. That equates to an individual tax obligation for every U.S. taxpayer totaling $226,795, going up a dollar every 97 minutes.
We told you it was insane.
As of Wednesday, The debt-to GDP ratio, a key measurement in determining the solvency of a national government, stood at 128.24%. When any government’s debt obligation exceeds its GDP, it is dire straits. The U.S. has been in negative territory to a 1:1 ratio — equaling a debt-to-production value of 100% — for 12 years. When debt exceeds production by that large a margin, bad things happen. The only reason we don’t realize the federal government is broke is because The Fed just keeps printing more money.
Germany did the same thing following World War I. Its economy collapsed, requiring a wheelbarrow full of Deutschmarks to buy a loaf of bread. You can only stretch a rubber band so far.
Our rubber band is at its breaking point, but both Democrats and Republicans have ignored that warning sign and continued Washington’s unsound tax-and-spend policies. It is more important to them to respond to the unreasonable demands by their constituents for more handouts — thus putting the U.S. on the brink of bankruptcy — than it is to be fiscally responsible.
There are those politicians who realize this cannot continue. Donald Trump was attempting to put the U.S. economy on sound footing but was opposed by the entire Democrat Party and many within his own Republican Party. Obviously, Joe Biden and his woke administration are not on board with Trump’s fiscal policy. The Biden cabal has eliminated or refocused every administrative and economic effort President Trump put in place.
The national debt will blow through the $30 trillion benchmark by the end of the year as a result of the Democrat budget proposal passing. Restrictive economic policies, including higher taxes and ever bigger entitlement programs as proposed by Biden, will make it more difficult to pay for what are already impossible obligations.
Should Democrats succeed in their efforts to force through a Fascist-type budget without any Republican support, it will effectively establish one-party rule in the U.S. Democrats will have proven they can do what they want regardless of opposition. Republicans are too divided between RINOs and Trump supporters to stand up to a full, frontal assault on the U.S. economy and on the Constitution.
It is not hyperbole to say that would be a disaster our democracy may not survive.
