World leaders have been looking at the wrong places and blaming the wrong parties, including flatulent mammals, for climate change. We hear of outlandish measures being proposed, such as the banning of steak dine-outs to discourage cattle herders and, presumably, to minimize human farting.
Jeremiah 18:15 (KJV, the LORD speaking to the Prophet Jeremiah) Because my people (the Israelites) had forgotten me…17 I will scatter them as with an EAST WIND (east wind travels westward)…
The proviso states that if the Israelite people break the covenant, a set of penalties, climate change among them, will take effect at God’s command. Here is the part where the Israelites agreed to ALL the terms of the covenant:
Exodus 24:3 (KJV) And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD (i.e., the commandments and the statutes), and all the judgments (these are the 3 main provisions of the covenant): and ALL THE PEOPLE answered with one voice, and said, ALL the words which the LORD had said WILL WE DO.
Clearly, there was, and still is, a valid covenant, or contract, between the Israelite people and the LORD (Gentiles were grafted onto them, Roma 11:17) and, in this contract, the LORD reserves the right to impose penalties if and when the people reneged on their commitment:
Levi 26:14 (KJV, the LORD speaking) …If you will not hearken unto me, and WILL NOT DO all these COMMANDMENTS; 15 And…my STATUTES, or…my JUDGMENTS (these were the 3 main provisions of his covenant), so that you…BREAK MY COVENANT…16 I ALSO WILL DO THIS UNTO YOU:
I will even appoint over you TERROR (the Western countries have been fighting terror),
COVID
CONSUMPTION, (Thayer’s Concordance: a wasting DISEASE OF THE LUNGS – i.e., corona virus or COVID!) and the burning ague (EBOLA, SARS, MERS, FLU and other fever-inducing illnesses), that shall consume the eyes (meaning cause death), and cause sorrow of heart (to the living):…
BUSINESSES, AGRICULTURE TO FAIL
…and you shall sow your seed in vain (agriculture, businesses, investments will fail), for your enemies (competitors, scammers, inside-traders, big-time speculators) shall eat it (through currency manipulation; cyber attacks, other tricks).
UNWINNABLE WARS
17 And I will set my face against you, and you shall be slain before your enemies (as had happened in Vietnam, Bosnia, Iraq and, lately, Afghanistan!):
HATERS SHALL RULE
they that HATE YOU (former slaves and immigrants who feel oppressed) shall REIGN OVER YOU (through elections);
FLEE FROM NON-PURSUERS
and you shall flee when none pursues you (as in the case of the sub-prime housing loans which led to whole villages being abandoned to the detriment of investors and homeowners! Of late, phobia of pandemic-induced lockdowns also stirred people to move out of residential areas in droves!).
SEVEN-TIMES SEVERITY
18 And if you WILL NOT yet for all this hearken unto me, then I WILL PUNISH YOU SEVEN TIMES MORE FOR YOUR SINS.
The seven-times severity of these punishments were to be repeated four (4) times so that every occurrence is of catastrophic proportions!
SOUNDING THE RETREAT
19 And I will break the pride of your power (by retreating from war zones like Vietnam and Afghanistan!);
THE LORD’S LAST RESORT: CLIMATE CHANGE
and I WILL MAKE YOUR HEAVEN AS IRON, AND YOUR EARTH AS BRASS:
There. We have found the TRUE CAUSE OF CLIMATE CHANGE. An IRON HEAVEN is very cold when cooled and very hot when heated, hence the extreme temperatures especially in winter and in summer.
A BRASS EARTH, on the other hand, is not water absorbent, hence the flash floods in various places. Brass is heat-absorbent hence the forest fires in many countries!
Clearly, climate change is God-caused and all human efforts to contain it won’t work. Man should realize that there is a God who is NOW asserting himself in world affairs.
Jeremiah 11:2 (KJV) The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2 Hear you the WORDS OF THIS COVENANT, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem (the inhabitants of Jerusalem are not all Israelites and Jews – Gentiles were grafted onto them, Roma 11:17, so that ALL PEOPLE are being addressed here); 3 And say you unto them, Thus said the LORD God of Israel; CURSED BE THE MAN THAT OBEYS NOT THE WORDS OF THIS COVENANT, …8…I WILL BRING UPON THEM ALL THE WORDS OF THIS COVENANT, WHICH I COMMANDED THEM TO DO; BUT THEY DID THEM NOT.
For those who haven’t heard it, the MAIN PROVISO of the LORD’s covenant is:
Exodus 6:7 (KJV, the LORD speaking through Moses)… I WILL TAKE YOU TO ME FOR A PEOPLE, and I WILL BE TO YOU A GOD…
This was THE proviso that the people broke when they went after other gods! Part of this proviso is a command:
…and YOU SHALL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD your God…
The people refuse to know the LORD their God:
Jeremiah 9:6 …THEY (Israelite people, and the Gentiles that were grafted onto them) REFUSE TO KNOW ME, said the LORD.
Let Prophet Jeremiah continue:
Jeremiah 11:11 Therefore thus said the LORD, Behold, I will bring EVIL (as cited above) upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall CRY unto me, I WILL NOT HEARKEN UNTO THEM.
GOD’S COVENANT COVERS ALL PEOPLE
Isa 56:6 Also the SONS OF THE STRANGER (i.e., non-Israelites) that join themselves to the LORD…and TAKES HOLD OF MY COVENANT; 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and MAKE THEM JOYFUL in my house of prayer…for my house shall be called a house of prayer for ALL PEOPLE.
Let the LORD continue with his chastisements of the Israelites and Gentiles, as spoken by Jeremiah the Prophet:
Jeremiah 11:9 (KJV) And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the (Israelite and Gentile) inhabitants of Jerusalem (which are now scattered worldwide blown by the East Wind!). 10 They are turned back to the lawlessness of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and THEY WENT AFTER OTHER GODS TO SERVE THEM: the house of Israel and the house of Judah (and the Gentiles that live with them) have BROKEN my covenant which I made with their fathers.
The LORD to send his SWORD:
Jeremiah 25:15 (KJV) For thus said the LORD God…unto me; Take the WINE CUP of this FURY at my hand, and cause ALL THE NATIONS (not only the inhabitants of Jerusalem)…to drink it. 16 And they shall drink, … and be MAD, because of the SWORD that I WILL SEND AMONG THEM…
PEOPLE TO DIE “AT THAT DAY”
33 And the SLAIN of the LORD shall be AT THAT DAY from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.
Undoubtedly, these are the pronouncements of an angry God! Note that these pronouncements were not intended to occur in Jeremiah’s day, but AT THAT DAY. From all indications, THAT DAY HAS ARRIVED!
CLIMATE CHANGE CAN BE AVERTED
Levi 26: 40 (KJV, the LORD speaking) IF they shall CONFESS their iniquity (i.e., if they shall turn to God and start obeying his covenant)…41…IF then their uncircumcised (CLOSED, UNLEARNED, IGNORANT) hearts be humbled, and they then ACCEPT OF THE PUNISHMENT of their iniquity: 42 Then will I remember MY COVENANT WITH JACOB, AND ALSO MY COVENANT WITH ISAAC, AND ALSO MY COVENANT WITH ABRAHAM WILL I REMEMBER…
Jeremiah 4:1 (KJV) If you will return, O Israel (i.e., the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the Gentiles living with them now scattered in the West), said the LORD, return unto me…and … put away your abominations out of my sight…
Instead of wasting time on nonsensical parleys like COP26 and unviable “green projects,” world leaders will be well-advised to call on their constituents to “circumcise their hearts” and seek the LORD.
