What do April 1, 1933, and November 24, 2021, have in common? They are two dates that reveal similarities between Black Lives Matter and Nazi Germany. In 1933, Nazis stood in front of Jewish-owned businesses and yelled, “Don’t Buy from Jews” and “The Jews Are Our Misfortune.”
We all know where this disgusting behavior led, so why is it ok today? BLM released a torrent of tweets and other social media rants saying, “Boycott white stores.”
This is actually the seventh year BLM has called for shutting out ‘white companies’ to support ‘Black Xmas.’ One can see dead Nazis nodding in approval from beyond the grave, and it’s not a pretty sight.
BLM is not just directing its vacuous ire at ‘white businesses’; they also are calling for people to “move your money out of white corporate banks that finance our oppression.” If BLM cared so much about black-owned businesses, why did they burn and loot so many of them?
Don’t bother asking Vice President Kamala Harris for an answer because she already stated her opinion on the riots during the 2020 presidential election that hurt black-owned businesses and communities. She said, “they’re not gonna stop before Election Day in November, and they’re not gonna stop after Election Day, and they should not.”
As Dana Carvey used to say in his 1980s Saturday Night Live Church Lady skit, “well, isn’t that special.” If we’re going to boycott hate, maybe we should start with the organization that has this little ditty on their website, “We’re dreaming of a #BlackXmas. That means no spending with white companies from Black Friday until New Years Day.”
BLM has run this campaign for a few years, but this year is much more explicit about boycotting white businesses. Watch BLM members bastardize “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” celebrating the birth of Jesus as they attempt to disrupt commerce during the 2017 Christmas shopping season.
This video remains highlighted on their website. BLM groups have justified massive looting of primarily white-owned chains during protests as well:
I wonder if BLM ever stopped to consider that 44% of black Americans have investment and retirement accounts? Do they understand that wishing for the decline in American businesses is undermining the hard work and effort of blacks and people of all colors in this country who are trying to save for their futures?
That would be an emphatic NO. The BLM Grinch is stealing Christmas and a little extra from American’s savings accounts.
In addition to their racially motivated assault against white businesses, BLM also aims their misguided attention towards the very thing that has elevated the station of all of humanity, free-market capitalism. Expanding free-market participation of developing countries has caused a dramatic decrease in extreme poverty that correlates with a 33% increase in trade since the year 2000.
Developing countries now account for 48% of world trade. In 1980 42% of the world’s population existed in extreme poverty as defined by earning less than $2 per day. Improved access to free markets has reduced that figure to less than 10% in 40 years, even though the population has increased by over 3 billion people.
Since the advent of the Industrial Revolution, which greatly expanded free markets globally, poverty, childhood mortality, illiteracy, and disease all experienced a 90% reduction. It is astounding that anybody could look towards history and not see that capitalism and free markets have been the single greatest boon to humanity in history.
Hateful ideologies of the past were ultimately rejected, and the time has come to cast scrutiny on BLM and any other group that generalizes and works to exclude people based on race.
