Biden’s Civil Rights Pick Seems Very Anti-Semitic
Kristen Clarke is Biden’s pick for the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights position in the Justice Department. You might expect such a pick to be, at the very least, not an open bigot. Given that it’s a civil rights-related job, that would probably be a reasonable assumption. But, as with most expectations of the radical Harris-Biden Regime, it seems like just too much to ask. According to recent stories in great conservative media sites like the New York Post, Clarke is highly anti-semitic.
Here’s what the NYP had to say about what Clarke has said in the past and present:
“While a Harvard undergrad, Clarke argued in the student newspaper that blacks had greater “mental, physical and spiritual abilities” than whites because of the amount of melanin in their skin, a racist theory advocated by race-baiters like Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam.
As president of the Harvard Black Students Association, she invited author Tony Martin to speak on campus, despite his rabid anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial. She then defended him as a ‘black intellectual who bases his information’ — i.e., his anti-Semitic slurs — ‘on indisputable fact…’
And it turns out Clarke’s soft spot for anti-Semitism is also of recent vintage. In 2018, she signed a letter defending Tamika Mallory, then the president of the Women’s March, after she had been called out for anti-Semitic actions while leading the protest group and for being an ally and cheerleader for Farrakhan.
Rather than apologize, Clarke essentially told the Forward she’d do it again because, apparently, it was more important to show solidarity for a fellow “woman of color” than take a stand against hate.”
For those who don’t know, Farrakhan is the founder of the Nation of Islam and is rabidly anti-Semitic and anti-American. He has utter such statements as “God d*** America” and “the powerful Jews are my enemy.” He’s quite a class act and, apparently, one of the types of people Ms. Clarke is willing to defend.

Then there’s the even more troubling case of her inviting Tony Martin to speak on campus, an action for which she never apologized. Here’s what the Free Beacon reported about that man and the speech he gave at the invitation of Ms. Clarke:
“Martin, then a professor of Africana studies at Wellesley College, promoted false theories implicating a Jewish cabal in the global slave trade and self-published a book called The Jewish Onslaught just one year before visiting Harvard at Clarke’s request. A majority of Martin’s faculty colleagues condemned the book as anti-Semitic, according to a 2001 column in the Boston Globe.
‘Professor Martin is an intelligent, well-versed Black intellectual who bases his information of [sic] indisputable fact,’ Clarke said in response to critics of Martin’s visit.“
There’s no other explanation: Unless she repudiates her past statements and actions, as I sincerely hope she does, it would appear that Ms. Clarke is likely an anti-Semite little better than either of those horrid men she chose to defend.
It would be one thing if she had simply invited Martin to speak and then apologized. Ditto that for the Farrakhan and Mallory situation. I’m a firm believer that, if someone apologizes, we should let bygones be bygones and listen to what they have to say now rather than whatever mistakes they have made in the past. That’s what separates reasonable people from psychotic cancel-culture warriors like Jimmy Galligan.
But the problem is, Ms. Clarke never apologized for what she said. In my view, a view that I think I share with many people on the right and many of the non-leftists in the Democratic party, all she would have had to do is make a heartfelt apology for what she said and did, as Rep. Greene recently did regarding anti-Semitic comments she made in the past.
In the case of Ms. Clarke, that apology has not yet happened and does not appear to be forthcoming. Despite having boosted the voices of virulent anti-Semites, Ms. Clarke still pretends as if she did nothing wrong. That is why I am writing this article and why I think the articles attacking her are right to do so; if she won’t apologize for what she has said and done, or even repudiate the noxious, abominable beliefs of those who she has supported, how are we to know that their beliefs are not also hers?
Cancel culture is a horrific force. I have no desire to “cancel” Ms. Clarke, nor do I want to be one of those boys who cried wolf that always cry “anti-Semitism” that are part of the problem described in The Israel Lobby. I just think she needs to apologize and make clear that she is not in the same camp as Mr. Farrakhan and Mr. Martin.
Anti-Semitism is an evil force. It is responsible for the Holocaust one of the greatest horrors of the 20th Century, a crime only overshadowed (perhaps) by the vast crimes of communism, namely Mao’s Great Leap Forward or Stalin’s Holodomor. Why has she not apologized for being a proponent of it?
