Under Joe Biden, the already porous border has grown even more open. He’s letting in thousands of migrants, told ICE to release everyone, and migrant caravans are on their way. But those are recurrent issues and America can hopefully weather that storm.
A less-noted but much more important piece of news is that 11 Iranians were caught illegally crossing the border. Those potential agents of a hostile and perfidious rogue regime were trying to sneak into the US. Here are the details.

From The Hill: “Border Patrol arrests 11 Iranians entering US from Mexico”
In an article entitled “Border Patrol arrests 11 Iranians entering US from Mexico,” Hill writer Lexi Lonas described just what happened on February 1st, when Border Patrol agents in Arizona captured 11 Iranian nationalsthat were attempting to infiltrate the United States via Mexico:
“A statement from U.S. Customs and Border Protection said there were six men and five women in the group. They were arrested and are being processed at Yuma station in Arizona.“
According to the Border Patrol statement, Iran is a “special interest country” to the US. That designation means that it is a country known to harbor and/or support terrorists and terrorist organizations. However, Border Patrol did not provide any other details about why the 11 Iranians were trying to enter the US or how they got into Mexico in the first place.
So, for now, it appears that it is unclear whether the 11 Iranians were illegally crossing the border because they were agents of the IRGC, potential Hezbollah affiliates, or just normal illegal immigrants without ties to the terror apparatus of the Iranian regime.
Breitbart: More Info
Breitbart, in addition to reporting on the Border Patrol statement about the 11 Iranians, also noted that the Yuma section of the border, which is where the potential Iranian agents were caught, is a section that has seen relatively high Iranian crossings in recent years. Here is what Bob Price said in the article:
“The Yuma Sector continues to lead the nation in the apprehension of Iranian illegal aliens, officials stated. During the last fiscal year, which ended on September 30, 2020, Yuma Sector agents arrested eight Iranians. This compares to a total of 14 from the other eight sectors along the U.S. southwest border with Mexico. So far this fiscal year, they arrested a total of 14 Iranian nationals in this single sector.”
Why It’s Important
It might seem like a minor piece of news that 11 Iranians were caught trying to cross the border. Iran is, after all, a horrible place to live, so it makes sense that people would want to flee from it.
But the cynical, questioning perspective would be the right one to have here. Iranians keep trying to break in in that one sector, Yuma. Do they have a cartel connection that is trying to sneak Iranian agents and Hezbollah operatives into the US so they can launch terror attacks and/or spy? What other rogue states are sneaking operatives into America? Do the Chinese, North Koreans, or other hostile states potentially have cartel connections?
This might have just been Iranian nationals trying to flee their nation into the US. But Iran is one of the top state sponsors of terrorism. Its citizens chant “death to America,” its government pledges to destroy the great Satan, it funds proxies that have attacked us over and over again in Iraq, and its terror groups constantly attack our allies. Iran is an enemy nation. And now Iranians are sneaking into America.
Border Security is national security. The Biden Administration must wake up to the reality of the situation and keep our border secure.
